Helping you work through issues that stand in the way of reaching your goals.
I believe that therapy is an opportunity to grow. If you feel stuck, talk therapy can help you work through the obstacles that stand in the way of living the life you want. I am an empathic listener and I want to learn about you and the challenges that you face so that through our work, you can move forward to build a new future.
I specialize in treating depression, anxiety, work and relationship stress as well as adjustment issues related to relocating to the U.S. I integrate different treatment modalities such as Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Relational, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) as well as Mindfulness to meet your needs.
I am a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW-R) who has postgraduate training in psychodynamic psychotherapy from the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy and the Trauma Studies Program from the Manhattan Institute for Psychoanalysis. I graduated with a Master of Social Work from Fordham University in 2009. I have experience working with adolescents and adults at an outpatient mental health clinic and I have also worked at the City’s Employee Assistance Program with people presenting with substance abuse, domestic violence, debt and mood disorders that affected their ability to work and manage their lives.
Setting up an initial consultation with me will help you know if I am the right therapist for you. It’s easy to get started.
